Foundational Truths
Welcome to WonByOne Foundational teachings.
Here you will find videos and texts about the basic truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope you will learn about God through them, and that you will choose to believe in Him and let Him be your Saviour and your Lord.

Hey! I want to tell you something..
Do you know that you are LOVED? For real, someone thinks YOU are to die for!
Do you want to know who…??

God is our Creator, He has created all things. God is from eternity and He will live in all eternity. The Bible tells us in the book of Genesis how God created the heavens and the earth, and everything around us. He maintains the whole universe by His Word, and He is the one who gives everything life. God also created us human beings, in His own image, so that we would be like Him…

The Bible says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
Jesus is the Son of God…

The Bible is the Word of God to mankind. It was written by chosen men, and it was inspired by The Holy Spirit, who we will tell you more about in a later teaching.
The Bible is the Word of God to you and me…

Faith is a choice. Everyone has to choose what to believe. It goes for all things, faith isn’t only about religion or spirituality. When we believe we don’t rely on our senses. It is not what we see, hear, taste, smell or feel that guides us. Faith is in our hearts, not in our heads.

Maybe you are asking yourself, what is this “salvation” Christian people talk about, and why do I need to be saved? To find the answer to what and why we need salvation, we need to first look at what sin is. We tend to think that sin is doing illegal or criminal things, but actually, sin is more than that.

… The Bible says: “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19)
So what does repentance mean?

The Bible says that when we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Why is this important? And what does it really mean to be forgiven?

The Bible says: “He who believes and is baptised will be saved.” (Mark 16:16) There is not salvation in baptism, but baptism is a proclamation of salvation.
First one has to believe and confess his own faith…

We have said that a person who chooses to believe in and follow Jesus is “born again”. Maybe you think that this is a silly expression. Like anyone can get back into their mother’s tummy to be born a second time? Actually, a man asked Jesus the same question…

The Holy Spirit has been in action on this planet since creation. God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit cooperated in creating this earth. Every time God’s power is seen, the Holy Spirit is there.

Jesus told His disciples to pray. But what does it really mean to pray? Many people believe it is to recite words written by saints ages ago, to kneel and speak with old-fashioned words. But that is just being religious – following rules in order to be accepted by a distant God. Neither is prayer magic words that give us everything we want… So what is prayer??

Jesus came to serve man, to show and demonstrate God’s love for them. One of the ways He did that was to heal and set man free. When Jesus suffered and died for the world on the cross, He personally carried the sins and took the sicknesses and weaknesses in His body…

Jesus describes the devil as a thief, who comes to steal, kill and destroy. He is also called the father of lies. (John 10:10, John 8:44) In the garden of Eden the devil came disguised as a snake and fooled Adam and Eve. He asked: “Have God really said…?”
Basically, the devil made them question and doubt what God had said…

Where do we come from, and where are we going?
Is there life after death?
The Bible tells us that from creation God has put eternity in our hearts.

God says in the Bible: ”For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Salvation is a gift, it is not by works. Grace is the opposite of the wages that you get when you have worked for something.

To believe is a choice! The good news about Jesus Christ is that He died and rose again so that you could have eternal life with God the Father. After hearing this, it is time for you to choose whether to believe in Jesus or not. The first thing to remember, is that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ. In fact, no one can come to the Father except through Him.
