The Bible is the Word of God to mankind. It was written by chosen men, and it was inspired by The Holy Spirit, who we will tell you more about in a later teaching.

The Bible is the Word of God to you and me. That means that if you want God to talk to you, you can simply start reading the Bible. He has already spoken this Word to you! The best part is, that everyone can understand this book, because the Holy Spirit helps you to understand.
The Bible gives a picture of who God is, who you are, and how God sees you. In fact, it answers the big questions about the meaning of life, and the coming eternal life. We can read in the Bible: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matt 24:35) It is always relevant, it never goes out of fashion.
The Word of God is always relevant, and it never goes out of fashion!
The Word of God is power and has power to change your life.
Some religions and leaders claim that only people with religious education can understand this book. But that is not true! Actually, these people know that they will start to lose control if people start reading the Bible for themselves.
Unfortunately, this book has been used and partly copied to develop religions and sects. The purpose of this is to gain power and position in society. However, these religions and sects and their false “bibles” do not point to Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Nor do they show that Jesus is the only true way to God. This is not the purpose of God. His intention is to give you true love, freedom, joy, eternal life and a lot more.
A few facts about the Bible…
The word Bible means books and consists of 66 books. These writings were collected into the single volume we know as the Bible. However, the Bible is divided into two parts; the Old Testament which consists of 39 books and the New Testament with 27. Did you know that the Bible is written over a period of fifteen hundred years? In fact, the first writings starting about 3400 years ago, and it was finished about 70 years after the resurrection of Jesus. More than 40 men of God wrote altogether, and they were all directed by the Holy Spirit.
It is “written” by God
The Bible says it like this: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim 3:16) In fact, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, which literally means it was breathed out by God, inspired by God himself by The Holy Spirit.
We have prepared a teaching that explains more about the Bible, which you can see later. But right now, this is what’s important for you to understand: When you start reading, ask God to help you to understand. Then you will experience that God will speak into your life, and gradually you will be transformed to be like Him. The Bible says about itself: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105). Let the Bible guide you forward. We recommend that you start by reading the 4 gospels, the first 4 books of the New Testament.
