Faith is a choice. Everyone has to choose what to believe. It goes for all things, faith isn’t only about religion or spirituality. When we believe we don’t rely on our senses. It is not what we see, hear, taste, smell or feel that guides us. Faith is in our hearts, not in our heads.

In the Bible we read: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
If you hear that you are beautiful, valuable or smart, your self-perception will most likely be good and your self-confidence will be strong.
If you hear that you are ugly, miserable or unworthy, your self-image will probably be bad and your confidence weak.
The advertising industry has understood this principle. When you hear something often enough, it will eventually create faith in you, that this particular product is the best.
Only the Bible is the full Truth, and it gives us life!
There are many voices around us that want our attention, but many of them are full of lies. Only the Bible is the full Truth and gives us life. God’s word is also called the word of faith (Rom 10.8) because it builds faith in us. God Himself puts faith in our hearts when we are saved. Jesus said that every word that comes from the mouth of God was food for His soul (Matt 4:4). It is also food for our souls.
The Bible says: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
To believe in God is a decision you have to make for yourself. This is the choice that gives you a new life. No one can take this choice for you. Through faith you are saved, born again and become a child of God. The next video will be more about salvation.
If you choose to believe in God, your faith needs nourishment. Through reading the Bible and praying, your faith will grow stronger. You will find that the Word of God is living and strong, and that it is the Truth, which sets you free. We encourage you to connect with other believers who have chosen to follow Jesus as their Lord, and then you can share and encourage each other. This is something we will talk more about in the second part of WonByOne.
We hope that these words will help you to put your faith and trust in God, and to develop a closer relationship with God, the Father.
